Job Summary:

Myers Concrete Construction is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanic to assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction equipment, trucks, and shop equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their mechanical skills while working alongside experienced mechanics in a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, mechanically inclined, and willing to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with diagnosing and repairing gas and diesel trucks (F-350 and similar)

• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and construction equipment

• Change oil, filters, fluids, belts, and other routine service items

• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Conduct equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs

• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs

• Help keep the shop clean, organized, and safe

• Pick up parts and assist with inventory organization when needed

• Support senior mechanics with repairs and equipment maintenance

• Perform general shop duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 1+ years of mechanical experience preferred (automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, farm equipment, or similar)

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical systems

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed

• Valid driver's license required

• CDL is a plus but not required

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a shop environment

• Punctuality and reliability are essential

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

• Must be able to commute to Wimberley, TX daily

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
