Construction layout Surveyor

Looking  for motivated and detailed oriented surveyor / field engineer to help  support the growth of our business in the Austin and San Antonio areas.

• Perform Surveys using robotic total stations, levels and GPS

• Verify accuracy of measurements, keep accurate records and sketches of work performed

• Perform survey calculations, upload and download data

• Communicate with project team members and clients as appropriate to project

Skills and Qualifications - Surveyors need certain skills to succeed in their role, including:

• Communication: Surveyors must have excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with city employees, clients and legal council.

• Problem-solving: The ability to solve problems is crucial in Surveyors, as they  constantly deal with problems in such tasks as planning a real estate  project or identifying who owns what portion of a property.

• Mathematics: Mathematical skills are necessary for Surveyors to complete fast and accurate calculations.

• Project management: Detailed organization and time management skills help Surveyors work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

• Construction Engineering or equivalent degree

• 7-10 years of experience

• Working knowledge of AutoCad, Microsoft Office

• Experience with robotics total station, laser scanners, data collectors

• Ability to self-perform tasks with minimal oversight

• Bilingual a plus

• OSHA certifications a plus

Our  headquarters is in Wimberley, TX. Job sites will be from North Austin to  South San Antonio, TX of which will be traveled in a company vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
