Maintenance Technician

We  are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a focus on  construction machinery and vehicles to join our team at Myers Concrete  Construction. As a maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for  the upkeep and repair of our equipment, ensuring that they are operating  efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine  maintenance and repairs on construction machinery, vehicles and diesel  engines, including but not limited to: heavy duty trucks, and other  heavy equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools

• Inspect and test engines and other components for proper functioning and maintenance needs

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all repairs and maintenance performed

• Repair or replace faulty parts, such as brakes, transmissions, and air brakes

• Use power tools and hand tools to dismantle, repair, and reassemble engine parts

• Utilize tablets or computers to access maintenance logs and schedules.

Requirements/Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance work, specifically with construction machinery and vehicles

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components

• Proficient in using electrical and diagnostic equipment for  troubleshooting and diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, including  cranes, trucks, and heavy equipment

• Experience with automotive repair, including brake repair and transmission maintenance

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in using tablets or computers for maintenance tracking

Skills:

• Proficient in computers and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and electrical systems

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.06 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
